Conference Information
Dear Colleagues:
Since the first ITQW workshop in 1991, the ITQW has been held every two years and has gone to many parts of the world. During the 20+ years, we have witnessed the maturity of QWIPs resulting in real world applications, and the realization and development of QC Lasers, which are being explored for applications. Importantly, we should not forget various new directions and approaches, such as those related to quantum dots or novel materials, which bring new fun to our research and promises for better devices.
The ITQW 2009 conference continues its tradition by bringing together the experts – graduate students, post-docs, and senior researcher – in this field to discuss their latest findings, to inspire new ideas, and to establish new collaborations. As before, in addition to invited and contributed talks as well as poster sessions, plenty of time will be allotted for questions, discussion, and networking.
For historical data, the first ITQW was held in Cargese, France (1991), followed by Whistler, Canada (1993), Ginosar, Israel (1995), Tainan, Taiwan (1997), Bad Ischl, Austria (1999), Monterey, USA (2001), Evolene, Switzerland (2003), Cape Cod, USA (2005), and Ambleside, UK (2007).
Join us in Montreal, Canada in 2009!
